NDMC to spruce up Delhi with flower decorations during summer for G20 summit
The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is planning to install flower and foliage decorations at roundabouts, traffic islands and avenue roads in Lutyens’s Delhi in the summer and monsoon. The council is planning to beautify these routes with flora in a non-winter season as part of a wider beautification project being undertaken across the city, which will host the G20 summit in September. Over a million flowering plants have been seeded or are under procurement. The blooming will start from next month and continue until the monsoon season.
G20 meetings conclude with delegates’ day out in Srinagar
The third Group of 20 (G20) tourism working group meeting was held in Kashmir, India, with around 60 foreign delegates from 27 G20 and other invitee countries in attendance. The conference covered eco-tourism and sustainable development. The delegates also enjoyed visits to the Nishat garden and the Royal Spring golf course, while the government hopes that the event will help boost the region's economy, which has been affected by the abrogation of Article 370.

G20 Members
The Group of Twenty (G20) comprises 19 countries (Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Türkiye, United Kingdom and United States) and the European Union. The G20 members represent around 85% of the global GDP, over 75% of the global trade, and about two-thirds of the world population.
